Disney’s long-anticipated live-action adaptation of Tangled has officially found its stars. Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim have been cast in the lead roles, sources confirm exclusively, bringing fresh faces to the beloved fairy tale inspired by the Brothers Grimm.

Croft, best known for her breakout performance in Titans, is set to portray Rapunzel, the spirited princess with magical golden hair and an unyielding desire to see the world beyond her tower. Known for her emotional range and on-screen charisma, Croft is expected to bring a modern edge and depth to the iconic Disney heroine.

Manheim, who rose to prominence with Disney’s Zombies franchise and later impressed audiences on Dancing With the Stars, will take on the role of Flynn Rider. His blend of charm, humor, and physicality aligns closely with the roguish yet warm-hearted thief who becomes Rapunzel’s unlikely companion.

The live-action Tangled aims to stay faithful to the heart of the 2010 animated hit while expanding its emotional scope and visual spectacle. The original film was praised for its music, humor, and empowering themes, becoming one of Disney Animation’s modern classics. Songs from the original, including the Oscar-nominated “I See the Light,” are expected to influence the new adaptation, though final details on the soundtrack have not yet been announced.

Production sources say the film will feature large-scale practical sets combined with cutting-edge visual effects to bring Rapunzel’s magical hair and storybook kingdom to life. Casting announcements for supporting roles, including Mother Gothel, are expected in the coming months.

With Croft and Manheim attached, the project gains two performers with strong fan bases and proven appeal among younger audiences—key elements as Disney continues to expand its slate of live-action reimaginings.

Disney has not yet announced a release date, but anticipation is already building as Tangled joins the studio’s growing lineup of live-action adaptations poised to reintroduce classic stories to a new generation.
