The FBI has released new surveillance images of a man identified as a “person of interest” in the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot during a Turning Point USA event in Orem, Utah, on September 10, 2025.
Federal investigators confirmed that a $100,000 reward is now being offered for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
According to authorities, Kirk was struck in the neck by a single rifle shot fired from a nearby rooftop while addressing a large audience at Utah Valley University. The gunman then escaped on foot into a wooded area. Hours later, police recovered a high-powered bolt-action rifle wrapped in a towel, believed to have been used in the attack.
The released photos show a young man, described as male and of college age, wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, a black long-sleeved shirt, and dark pants. Forensic teams have also collected palm and footwear impressions from the rooftop where the shot was fired.
Officials are urging the public to review personal videos, photos, and surveillance footage taken near the venue that might provide clues. The FBI stressed that the investigation remains a top national priority, warning that the shooter is considered armed and dangerous.
The shocking attack has drawn widespread condemnation across the political spectrum, with leaders calling it a “targeted act of violence” against one of the country’s most recognizable conservative voices.
